Japanese double kid seat on bicycle

Here you see a lot of parents, well mostly mothers, cycle with a kid at the front and the back. The see trough plastic bit folds out for the kids feet but if folded up the seat doubles as a basket to stick your shopping into!

First morning in the park

My son is half Japanese and half Dutch, double the cycle fun! For those who have never been to Japan, they are almost as cycle mad as the Dutch, cycles everywhere, mostly of the sensible kind with a basket at front.

While walking around I noticed these strange white needles popping out of the ground everywhere, turns out it’s ice. Never seen that before.

To the right is the toilet building in the park, it’s been in the same immaculate state every year I visited Japan.

Turns out that the Japanese are not that different from westerners as the local cyclist ignored this sign. Seeing I could not read the text I thought it would be best not to cycle, turns out I guessed right.
